COOL WATER brings all the principles and practices of GO-FIRST “home” to the global well of Life. Every lifeguard has the opportunity to be a leader in respecting and renewing our water resources and marine biodiversity. Consider all the ways in which an open water lifeguard department interacts with its respective ocean, river, lake, marina, bay or port. And think about how a pool lifeguard is in the middle of a story about water resource management – intake sources, outflow effects and interim quality! Now make a list of how the lifeguards in both duty posts can apply the concepts of RESCUE, SAFETY, HEALTH and SERVICE to their local waterways.
